Meet Darbee Leduchowski

I'm a Mental Health Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals across all walks of life — from teens navigating big emotions to adults healing from trauma and rediscovering who they are.

At the heart of my practice is a deep belief that therapy should feel safe, human, and empowering. I take a holistic, person-centred approach — combining evidence-based therapies like EMDR, CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness to tailor support to your needs, goals, and pace.

Whether you're facing anxiety, low mood, past trauma, relationship challenges, or just feeling stuck, you don’t have to go through it alone. I'm here to walk alongside you — with warmth, compassion, and the tools to help you move forward.

If you're ready to reconnect with yourself and build a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and fulfilling, I’d love to support you.

Let’s begin your healing journey

You don’t have to figure it out alone. Reach out today to take the first step toward clarity, strength, and a life that feels more like your own.

A therapy approach that sees the whole you

At Havenwood Wellness, therapy isn’t about ticking boxes or fitting you into a formula. It’s about getting to know the full picture of who you are — your story, your strengths, your struggles — and walking alongside you as you make sense of it all.

Led by Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and EMDR therapist Darbee Leduchowski, the practice is grounded in over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, low mood, grief, overwhelm, and the day-to-day challenges of being human.

Darbee’s approach is holistic and personalised, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies to support you in a way that feels right for you. These may include:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
  • DBT-informed skills
  • Mindfulness-based strategies

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, therapy at Havenwood is about uncovering what’s beneath — the past experiences, patterns, and beliefs that may be shaping how you feel today. Together, we work gently and collaboratively to help you build emotional resilience, reconnect with yourself, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and your own.

Sessions are available for teens and adults aged 12 and over, either in-person at our Mitchelton practice or via telehealth. Whether you're navigating something specific or just feeling stuck, you're welcome here.

Sometimes the most meaningful changes begin with a quiet decision to care for yourself differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s completely natural to have questions before starting therapy. We’ve answered a few of the most common ones here to help you feel more at ease. If there’s anything else on your mind, we’re always happy to chat.

What kinds of issues do you help with?

We support clients with a wide range of concerns — including anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, PTSD, grief, stress, emotional regulation, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship difficulties, and more.

You don’t need a diagnosis to reach out. If something’s affecting your emotional wellbeing, we’re here to help.

I’m not sure if therapy is right for me. What should I do?

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come to talk through challenges, understand themselves better, or build emotional resilience.

If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute phone consult — no pressure, just a chance to chat and see if it feels like the right fit for you.

Do I need a referral to book a session?

No referral is needed — you can contact us directly to make a booking. However, if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates.

We're happy to talk you through your options if you're unsure.

How long are sessions and how often will I need to attend?

Sessions typically run for 50 minutes. The frequency depends on your needs — some people come weekly at first, while others prefer fortnightly.

We’ll discuss what feels right for you and adjust as you go. Therapy is always a collaborative process.

How much do sessions cost?

Initial and subsequent sessions are $200 per session.

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can claim a Medicare rebate of $85.20 per session (up to 10 sessions per calendar year). If you’re not using Medicare, you may be able to claim through your private health insurance, depending on your level of cover.

Do you offer telehealth services?

Yes, we do. If you're unable to attend in person or simply feel more comfortable from home, telehealth sessions are available.

You’ll receive the same personalised, evidence-based care — just from the comfort of your own space. All you need is a quiet room, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera. We’ll guide you through it.
